AASA is contracted to prepare and provide Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings to all HHS agencies, including HQ in accordance with the features and functions described below. The objectives for Cloud Computing Services are to:
  1. Provide a secured, scalable, reliable cloud computing environment that will host IaaS components and meet current HHS requirements (features and functions) for health-related applications and databases, as well as future demands and provide disaste recovery capabilities.
  2. Deliver IaaS solution that will meet HHS specific requirements (features and functions). The use of the AWS environment will be for health-related applications development and other health related research initiatives.
